About Marsh Creek

Making the water accessible to everyone.

Our Mission

At Sail Marsh Creek, our goal is simple: get you comfortable on the water. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience the freedom, joy, and confidence that comes from time spent on the lake.

Whether you're a 6-year-old stepping onto a boat for the very first time, an adult learning to trim the sails, or a teenager progressing toward competitive racing, we're here to be your bridge to the sailing world.

We provide the equipment, the instruction, and the encouragement. You bring the curiosity. From first-time crew to seasoned sailors, our programs are designed to meet you where you are and help you grow at your own pace.

Marsh Creek Lake is a 535-acre lake nestled within the 1,705-acre Marsh Creek State Park in Chester County, Pennsylvania. It is one of the most unique bodies of water in the region.

Exceptionally Peaceful

No gasoline motors are allowed on the lake. Only electric motors at no-wake speed are permitted, making for a quiet, serene experience every time you visit.

Great for Sailing

Natural terrain and consistent prevailing winds make Marsh Creek one of the most popular sailing lakes in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Beautiful Surroundings

Clean water, lush scenery, and migrating waterfowl create a stunning backdrop for every activity on the lake.

What We Stand For

Safety First

US Coast Guard approved life jackets are required for every participant on the water. We continuously monitor weather conditions to ensure safe, enjoyable sessions.

For Every Skill Level

Beginners and experienced sailors alike will find a place here. Our progressive instruction moves from the classroom to on-water practice, building confidence at every stage. No experience is needed for our programs.

Community on the Water

Sailing is inherently collaborative, and the connections made on the dock and out on the water are just as important as the skills learned at the tiller. From swapping stories after an evening breeze dies down to helping a fellow sailor rig their boat, we are creating a welcoming space where beginners and seasoned skippers alike can connect, learn, and share the pure joy of being on the water.
